Pictured is Mutz B-17 bomber nose art on display in the Henry B Tippie National Education Center Museum at Dallas Executive Airport in Dallas, Texas. Minot Pratt is responsible for saving these works of art. He was manager at a junkyard where thousands of aircraft were sent to be cut up and disassembled after the end of World War II. He liked the hand-painted pinup girls featured on the planes and had his workmen remove them before destroying the aircraft. They were donated to the Commemorative Air Force in the mid 1960s. The Commemorative Air Force, abbreviated CAF, is the largest operator of Historic Aircraft in the world with 160 aircraft and over 9000 members.
