Collection of banknotes Laos, Value 500 Kip. Issued by Bank of the Lao Peoples Democratic Republic. Date - 1988. on a black background. Banknotes of the sample 1979-1988 years. In 1979 was released banknotes in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 Kip in 1988 to banknote a number of added denominations of 500 Kip. Banknotes of this issue as of 2017 remain legal tender, but values less than 500 bales of real cash in circulation do not participate because of their low cost. Kip is the currency unit of Laos, equal to 100 formally atam. Introduced in 1955, instead of the previously applied Indochina piastre at the rate of 1:1. Mainly used as small units of US dollar and Thai baht. Previously released coins of 10, 20 and 50 atov do not participate in the appeal because of the low cost.
