Pineapple is one the popular juicy fruits in Bangladesh. Pineapple of Madhupur in Tangail has a special flavor. Farmers said it costs Tk10-12 to produce a pineapple. The big pineapple is being sold at TK25 each, medium ones TK15, and the small ones at Tk5. During the pick-season of the fruits, harvesters pass a busy time. Usually, the farmers carry the juicy fruits on bicycles to minimize the carrying cost and damage the pineapple in the orchard.
