It is a monkey that distributes in West Africa. It is the only species of genus macaque. There are 4 subspecies. The body length is 85 cm and the tail length is 75 cm. The upper body is orange and red, like a furry coat; chest, abdomen and legs are white. There is a dense white beard around the cheeks and chin. Red monkeys are ground dwelling species. They are very suitable for living on the ground. They run faster on the ground than other monkeys. They are lively and agile. Their vision, hearing and smell are all sharp. It is the most complex form of communication among all primates. The flowers, fruits, branches, leaves and bark of edible plants occasionally eat eggs and small invertebrates. It mainly resides in tropical and semi desert areas. Running at speeds of up to 50 km / h is the fastest speed among primates. It is distributed in many countries in West Africa.
