Michael McGrath (pronounced as McGraw), television and film actor and a star of Broadway theater productions, usually in a comedic role, arrives at the 66th Annual Tony Awards at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan on June 10, 2012. McGrath was nominated and won for his featured role as 'Moonface Martin,' in the hit musical comedy, 'Nice Work If You Can Get It.' He also received a nomination in for his comic performance in 'Spamalot.' On Broadway, he received numerous stellar reviews for his work in productions such as 'Tootsie,' 'She Loves Me,' and for his multiple roles in the hilarious off-Broadway versions of 'Forbidden Broadway.' On tv he showed off his improvisational skills as announcer and sidekick on 'The Martin Short Show,' a daily one-hour talk variety daytime comedy show on CBS-TV in 1999 and 2000. McGrath died in his Bloomfield, New Jersey, on September 14, 2023, at the age of 65.
