| M45, commonly known as the Pleiades or Seven Sisters, is a spectacular open star cluster located in the constellation Taurus, approximately 440 light-years from Earth. It is one of the closest and brightest star clusters, easily visible to the naked eye.The cluster contains hundreds of hot, young B-type stars, many of which shine with a striking blue-white color. Surrounding these stars are delicate reflection nebulae, caused by interstellar dust reflecting their light, giving the cluster a soft, ethereal glow. |
