| Trail through Cape Lookout State Park (located just 12 miles southwest of Tillamook, Oregon). The park has more than eight miles of hiking and walking trails. The cape itself has some of the most peaceful trails, winding through lush, old-growth Sitka Spruce forest (notice the mist hanging in the air). One of the most prominent headlands on the coast, Cape Lookout juts more than two miles into the sea. Rising some 500 feet above the surf, it is continually pounded by wind and waves. |
