Plum trees are among a few plants that bloom in winter months. They are admired for creating clouds of white and pink flowers in salute to spring. The Haiwan National Forest Park near the Hangzhou Bay will hold its first plum blossom festival. About one-third of its plum trees have already come into bloom.Park officials said they will have the largest plum blossom festival in East China. Two century-old plum trees, dubbed the `king` and `queen` in the park, are already blossoming and will be the star attraction at the festival.
