| Dwarf Mistletoe (Arceuthobium americanum) is a parasitic seed plant that is destructive to many cash crop trees, especially Lodgepole Pine. Mostly eradicated from such trees, it remains common on Western Juniper, a tree considered monetarily worthless to the timber industry. Usually light green in summer, it turns a golden color in winter. Trees affected by this wiry parasite develop twisted bundles of branches called witch's broom.
