Close-up, detailed view of the simple Romanesque entrance portal (portada) of the Hermitage of Saints Emeterius and Celedonius (Ermita de San Emeterio y San Celedonio). The small chapel is located in RÃo Quintanilla, within the Valle de las Caderrechas, Burgos, Castilla y LeÃ³n, Spain. The portal features a semicircular arch (arco de medio punto) with a single archivolt resting on plain imposts, all built with the rustic, warm-toned ashlar stone characteristic of the region. This example of rural Romanesque architecture dates from the mid-12th century and is recognized as a Listed Building (BIC)
