Yufeng Monastery, known as Zaxi Chubailing in Tibetan, means "Garden of Auspicious Dharma Propagation." It is one of the five major Buddhist temples in Lijiang, alongside Fuguo Temple, Pujie Temple, Wenfeng Temple, and Zhiyun Temple. Located on the southern foothills of the Yulong Snow Mountain, 13 kilometers from the Old Town of Lijiang, the monastery was built in the 39th year of the Kangxi reign (1700) during the Qing Dynasty. At its peak, it had nine courtyards, and the present structure includes the main hall along with the upper and lower courtyards.
