Cushion tapete scientific name: Androsace tapete Maxim. is a species in the genus Primulaceae and tapete. Produced in Xinjiang south, Gansu south, Qinghai, Sichuan west, Yunnan northwest and Tibet. Born on gravel hillsides, river valley terraces and gentle mountain tops, 3500-5000 meters above sea level. It is a typical alpine plant, with short plants, forming dense clumps or cushion-like bodies, with gorgeous flowers and colors, suitable for setting up rock gardens or potted plants for viewing. Can be used as ground cover plants. Perennial herb. The plant shape is a hemispherical solid cushion-like body, which is formed by a large number of short branches arranged closely; the short branches of the roots are covered by scaly dead leaves, which are rod-shaped. The rosette-like leaf clusters of the year are superimposed on the old clusters, usually without internodes, 2-3 mm in diameter. Leaves are two-type, the outer leaves are ovate-lanceolate or ovate-triangular, 2-3 mm long, relatively hypertrophic, blunt apex, raised back, and slightly ridged; inner leaves are linear or narrowly oblanceolate, long 2- 3 mm, green in the middle and upper part, with dense white brush-like hairs at the top, white and membranous at the bottom, with short ciliate hairs at the edges. Flowering from June to July.
