| The Sunspot Astronomy and Visitor Center near Cloudcroft, New Mexico first opened its doors in July 1997 in a collaboration between NSO/Sacramento Peak, Apache Point Observatory, and the USDA Forest Service. The structure is at the center of a huge solar system model which spreads over several miles. Exhibits focus on how astronomers learn things about the Universe. |
