Pictured is a bronze sculpture titled 'Dumna' by Ursula von Rydingsvard atop a berm on the campus of The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. The work was sculpted from cedar beams and cast in bronze in 2015. The piece is the last in an edition of three. It was a gift from the Nobel Laureate Dr. Joseph L. Goldstein, Chairman of the Department of Molecular Genetics. Ms. von Rydingsvard was born in Germany in 1942 and came to the United States in 1959. Her work is acclaimed for its rich earthy texture and is found in important museum collections around the world. She is based in Brooklyn, New York.
