Tourists enjoy the sun in the Italian touristic town of San Gimignano. The Piazza della Cisterna is enclosed by a wall of nobility houses and medieval towers. Its name comes from a water cistern found at the centre of the site, where an octagonal travertine well forms a pivot point in the piazza.
