Up until the late 1960`s San Francisco`s home furnishing makers, designers and fabric makers had no way to get together and show their products to the buying public. Then Henry Adams came along and bought up abandoned warehouses. With prier experience in both the Furniture manufacturing as well as banking, Adams was just the guy to be able to buy up separate buildings, and pull it all together. After Adams died, the city in 1981 renamed a two block section of Kansas Street to henry Adams Street.
