It grows in bunches-bouquets. Below, in the water, it is light green, a little higher it is darker, then a brown velvety cylinder, and from the main stem, literally from the water itself, long straight leaves diverge.On my side, bizarrely shaped dead trees brought in during the flood lie in the water. Around them are duckweed, and near the shore there are thickets of mint. Behind her, rising up, white porridge, elecampane, hemlock: white, yellow, blue plants, peeking out from the tall grass.And the river, almost silently carrying its waters past our house.
