Los Milenios. This impressive spiral sculpture was inaugurated on October 31, 2001, and a year later, during Hurricane Kenna, was affected by the loss of the plaque describing the work. This piece of art depicts history and the passage of time: it starts at the base with water, then passes through the origin of life (represented by DNA which can be seen at the base), natural evolution, humanity, and ends with hope for the future (symbolized by the dove of peace). In this sculpture you can see various characters from history, such as Charlemagne, Nezahualcoyotl and a woman stretching towards a peaceful future. The ââ¬ÅMilleniaââ¬Â sculpture marks the beginning of the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta.
