Mechanism of allergy. Mast cells and allergic reaction. B-cell is exposed to allergen, plasma cells will initiate an overproduction of IgE antibodies. The IgE molecules attach themselves to mast cells. When allergen enters the body for the second time, the IgE antibodies reacts. mast cells release histamine and other allergic mediators, that will cause an allergic reaction. |
