Pictured is a bronze sculpture on a cut stone pedestal titled Satyr Holding Putto by an unknown artist in the garden of the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was created circa 1870. The museum and its expansive gardens opened in 1939 in a former 1920s villa, Villa Philbrook. It was the home of Oklahoma oil pioneer Waite Philips and his wife Genevieve. They acquired the sculpture in 1929. The sculpture was originally located at the Maison Marchande near Paris, France.
