| Pictured is the information plaque for a sculpture titled `Journey to Sirius` by artist George Smith. It is composed of welded steel plates across a bed of black rock. It is located in Lubben Plaza Park in downtown Dallas, Texas. The park was donated to the City of Dallas in 1986 and the sculpture unveiled in 1992. The artist was inspired by the Dogon, an African society that lives in an extrremely rocky region of the Republic of Mali, where they create art on the cliff walls. |
