The Veerabhadra Swamy temple in Lepakshi, AP is an ancient temple built during the days of Vijayanagar empire. It was built in the 16th century by Veeranna and Virupanna, the then Vijayanagara governors of Penukonda. Seen here is the unfinished Kalyana Mantapa pillars with ornate carvings. The roof was never completed.
