Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni engages American actor Alan Arkin at the Cinematheque in Jerusalem during the 4th Annual Jerusalem International Film Festival in Israel on July 2, 1987. Mastroianni, the beloved Italian actor was known widely for his work opposite Sophia Loren under the direction of Vittorio De Sica in `Love Italian Style,` `Marriage Italian Style,` `Divorce Itralian Style,` and `A Special Day.` Among his other successes were starring roles in `8 1/2,` and `La Dolce Vita.` Mastroianni was in Israel for the screening of `Brown Eyes,` a film in which he starred. He died in Paris on December 12, 1996 from pancreatic cancer at the age of 72.
