Hellenia speciosa 'Marginatus' is a perennial perennial herbaceous plant in the ginger family, with a height of up to 1-3 meters. The base of the stem is nearly woody, and the top often branches in a spiral shape. The leaves are oblong in shape, and the back of the leaves is densely covered with silk hairs. Native to Southeast Asia, cultivated in southern China, prefers semi shaded environments, and leaves fall and remain dormant in winter. Spike shaped inflorescence grows at the top, with red leathery bracts and pure white trumpet shaped lips.
