Cassagna was an ancient village of miners, situated in the Graveglia Valley, in the metropolitan city of Genoa, later abandoned. One of the best preserved Ligurian villages situated, near the chapel of San Rocco, an ancient medieval tower transformed into a home in 1930. The first news about the village comes from the land register of the Republic of Genoa from 1467, relating to the settlements dependent on the Podesteria of Sestri Levante.
