It is one of the most colorful birds, its neck is bright yellow, its head is red brown and its body is blue green. It has black eyeliner and a black stripe on its chin. Its black and long beak is curved downwards. Its wings are pointed and its tail is long. Bee-eaters, which love warm climates, establish colonies by digging small holes in sand and clay soil walls, especially near wetlands where they can easily find the flying insects they need to feed. As its name suggests, it feeds by catching all kinds of flying insects, especially bees, dragonflies, butterflies and cicadas. It is a unique hunter, it approaches its prey from below and in the final move, it contracts its body and takes on a perfect aerodynamic form like a bullet, and the prey insects usually do not have a chance to see the hunter.
