Unguru Mare Cave is also known as Ungurului Cave or Bolhac Cave. It is located at the base of a limestone wall, approximately 250 meters upstream from the confluence of Misidului Valley with Crisul Repede (Rapid Cris), on the territory of Suncuius commune. The cave portal opens on the left side of the Crisul Repede river, in the bend between Balnaca (upstream) and Suncuius (downstream). The large portal (approx. 20 m high) and the spacious gallery with which it continues are a tourist attraction, and for prehistoric people it meant a spacious shelter with natural light. Archaeological excavations have revealed a rich anthropic activity starting from the Neolithic. Showcases with relevant exhibits have been set up on the path that runs through the hall from the entrance. The entrance gallery continues, approx. 150 m, all along it with sections between 33-15 m wide and 25-15 m high, then it turns to the left where the resurgence of the stream that crosses it is found. An important colony of bats has its shelter in this cave. Access to the cave is via a suspended bridge over the waters of Cri?ului Repede.
