Kouchi Temple is located on the southern section of Xiping Road, in Dao Hou Lane, Chaozhou City. Originally named Jisheng An, it was founded during the Tang Dynasty. It is said that when Han Yu served as the magistrate of Chaozhou, he named the temple Kouchi Temple and formed a deep friendship with Abbot Dadian. As a result, there is now a memorial hall dedicated to Han Yu and Abbot Dadian within the temple.
