Most pine species have fascicles or bundles of needles of from 2 to 5 needles per bundle. These are what we call evergreens. Conifers, or producers of pine cones. This is a closeup detail of a pine tree. It`s difficult to tell how many needles are in each bundle. White pines have 5 needles, Red pines have 2 needles. Other varieties of pine have 3 needles in each bundle.
