| Prunus triloba Lindl. is a rare small tree plant in the Rosaceae family, belonging to the genus Prunus. The branches of the Yuyemei tree are spread out, with many short twigs The leaves are broadly elliptical to obovate in shape, with a short and gradually pointed apex, and the edges of the leaves have coarse or double serrations The flowering and fruiting period is from April to July Flowers bloom before leaves Stamens shorter than petals, styles slightly longer than stamens The fruit is nearly spherical, red, and has thin flesh. [9] It is named Yuye Mei because its leaves resemble elm leaves and its flowers resemble plum blossoms. |
