| Billbergia nutans H. Wendl. ex Regel is a perennial evergreen herbaceous plant belonging to the Pineapple family and the Water Tower Flower genus. The base of the leaves embrace each other in a cup-shaped shape, and the leaf leather is long lanceolate in shape. The edges of the leaves have fine serrations, and the leaf surface is smooth. The back of the leaves is covered with white phosphorus flakes, which are gray green in color The spike shaped inflorescence emerges from the leaf cluster in spring, with large, bright red petal like bracts attached to the drooping curved stem, and yellow green flowers elongated from the bracts at the end with a deep blue border The flowering period is in summer. |
