Hong Kong: 5th May 2019: Beautiful view of Bank of China Tower. The Bank of China Tower is a skyscraper located in the Central district of Hong Kong. It was designed by architect I.M. Pei and was completed in 1990. The building stands at a height of 315 meters (1,033 feet) and has 72 floors. The design of the building is based on the shape of a bamboo shoot, with triangular windows that reduce the amount of energy needed to cool the building. The tower has a distinctive shape, with four triangular modules that gradually decrease in size as they rise, culminating in a sharp spire at the top.The Bank of China Tower was the tallest building in Hong Kong and Asia from 1990 to 1992,when it was surpassed by the completion of the Central Plaza. Despite being surpassed in height,it remains an iconic building in Hong Kong and is considered one of the most recognizable buildings in the world.
