| Trichaptum abietinum, known as Purplepore Bracket, is a widespread bracket fungus growing on decaying wood. It displays fan-shaped, overlapping caps with a wavy, scalloped edge. The upper surface is zoned in white to beige hues, while the underside features purplish pores. This fungus is generally found on coniferous wood and contributes to the decomposition process in forest ecosystems. |
