This shows the upper stretch of the Corrieshalloch Gorge. In the middle of the picture we see the differences between flat plates of moine schist, which are moderately dipping, compared to the tall sidewall of the gorge which shown vertical jointing. We then see water tumbling over these rocks as it makes its way to the Fall of Measach. On either side we see lush vegetation of trees and ferms. The gorge was created by glacial meltwaters carving out the gorge from Moine schists, Psammite. This can be found in Wester Ross, Ross-Shire, in the Highlands of Scotland, at map reference NH 203782.
