Garnwerd is a wierde village next to the Reitdiep in the municipality of Winsum in the Dutch province of Groningen. A wierde is an artificial dwelling hill, created to provide safe ground during high tide and river floods. The idyllic narrow Burgemeester Brouwerstraat is, according to the people of the village, the most narrow street of the Netherlands.
