| The UNESCO site of Shwe Indien in Burma is a buddhist site with over 1000 stupas / pagodas built during the 17th - 18th Century. Many of the stupas are still in ruins, with others being renovated by benefactors. The site is reached by boat up the Indien River from Inle Lake. |
