This young fawn was seen alone knee deep in the creek drinking water. It was under observation for 20 minutes and did not stop drinking. It looks emancipated and has a mass of flies on it's rump. This time of year in central New York State, perhaps the mother was recently killed by a vehicle and the fawn has been raising itself.
